ASEA Masters competitor Claude Degrace of Moncton, ran the California International Marathon in Sacramento on Sunday Dec 5, 2010 in a very respectable time of 3:07:38 to finish 408th out of 5879 runners.
Degrace said that the temperatures were in the range of 50- 60 deg F and were excellent for running. Degrace was able to place 12 / 326 in the (55-59) age category.
Degrace's age graded time would equate to a 2:39.:02 time in the open category! It is to note that the veteran marathoner recently ran the Legs For Literacy full marathon on October 24, 2010 in a time of 3:18:51, so his improvment was tremendous.
This also qualifies him for Boston 2011 and 2012. Degrace has already booked his place for Boston 2011 next April .
