Apr 9, 2013 - Shediac Hershey Meets set to go

ASEA is proud to host the 2013 edition of the Hershey Track and Field program this spring.  Organizer Paul Thibodeau will open the season in Shediac with two tune up meets in late May.

Thibodeau has set the schedule for May 23rd and May 30th.  They fall after school hours and will include the traditional events Hershey offers plus an added bonus which will be unveilled in early May.

"I want to resume what we started back in Shediac a few years ago and reignite the competitive flame in athletics"  said Thibodeau.  "Shediac and surrounding areas have a wealth of talent but few opportunities.  That's where ASEA comes into the picture".

Thibodeau has been working with youth in the area for the past 15 years even holding mini training camps in his back yard a few years ago.  "We built a long jump pit with a run up,  created a XC course in a vacant field......we made do with whatever we had at the time".

With all the facilities at the disposal of the club,  the sky is the limit for the youth to improve upon.  For more information on this and upcoming programs including senior and masters training,  contact Paul at jackyl5194@hotmail.com for more information.
